Is your hearing aid technology NEW?

“You get what you pay for”. It is true when it comes to hearing aids as well. If you are getting a hearing aid for a discount beyond belief, then there are chances that the hearing aid technology is older.

Hearing aid manufacturers constantly improve the hearing aid technology. Every year they come up with improvements to the existing hearing aid chip and features and every two years, they come up with newer and faster processing chips altogether.

Check with your Audiologist to make sure the hearing aid you are getting is a newer technology. Most hearing aid names sound similar to their older generation counterparts. (Like LED Vs LCD TVs).

So, it would be difficult for you to know if what you are getting is a newer one. One way to know is to get a second opinion from a Qualified Audiologist. Also, if someone is offering you unbelievably more discount then it is most likely a hearing aid of older generation/ technology.
